Electronic Health Information (EHI) Export Instructions

Ease Health EHR  ·  ONC Certification Criterion 170.315 (b)(10)

Overview

Ease Health EHR supports Electronic Health Information (EHI) export in compliance with ONC certification criterion 170.315 (b)(10). Authorized users can perform an EHI export for a single patient or for the full patient population at any time without developer assistance.

All exports are:

• Created in a timely fashion
• Electronic and in a computable format
• Inclusive of all EHI as described in § 170.315(b)(10)(i)(A) (single patient) or § 170.315(b)(10)(ii) (patient population)
• Accompanied by a publicly accessible hyperlink to the export format specification

The product can limit which users may perform an EHI export by either granting a specific set of users export permissions or granting system administrators the ability to perform exports.

Ease Health, Inc. maintains a process for keeping export formats up to date with applicable requirements under § 170.315(b)(10)(i) and (ii).

Requesting a Data Export

Upon an authorized user’s written request, all EHI data files are uploaded to a secure Microsoft Azure Storage Container for access by authorized users. To request an export, contact Ease Health support at support@easehealth.com.

Accessing Exported Data (Azure Storage Explorer)

1. Download Azure Storage Explorer from azure.microsoft.com/en-us/features/storage-explorer/. Select the appropriate operating system, download, and run the installer.
2. Open Azure Storage Explorer and select Connect to Azure resources under Tasks.
3. Select Blob Container, then choose Shared access signature URL (SAS) and click Next.
4. Enter the Blob Container SAS URL provided by Ease Health at the time of the data export request, then click Next.
5. Review the Summary screen and click Connect.

Export Folder Structure

• Clinical Data Forms — each patient listed individually with all forms from their chart
• Clinical Data Form Details — CSV listing every form for every patient, including dates, times, signatures, and the finalizing user’s name
• Data — per-patient medical chart fields: allergies, contact details, diagnoses, level of care, medications, patient communications, patient info, insurance, vitals, and more
• Patients — photos and uploaded documents
